SNPP

SMS & pager messaging integration using SNPP protocol

Simple Network Paging Protocol (SNPP) provides quick and convenient industry connectivity from any Internet connected PC software system. Ideally suited to enabling customers own software systems to connect to PageOne for transmission of SMS and pager messages.

SNPP offers organisations a simple yet reliable way to send both paging and SMS messages. SNPP operates via a customer's internet connection and enables organisations to send messages to PageOne pagers and to mobile phones (regardless of network) without incurring telephone charges.

Benefits

  • There is no incremental cost to send messages into PageOne for transmission, as they are effectively sent 'free' across the Internet
  • Quicker, more efficient and reliable method of sending messages than via a modem or e-mail
  • Generates positive acknowledgment that the message has been accepted within seconds.

Options

PageOne offer a number of protocols including SMTP, SMPP and SOAP/XML as well as SNPP. This means that customers can choose the best connectivity options for them
