Emergency Scotland, 2011

Emergency Scotland 2011, is the premier event for emergency service personnel and planning officers from Scotland, the North of England and Ireland with over 120 Exhibitors displaying the latest equipment and services for the emergency services sector. Free to attend, Emergency Scotland also provides emergency organisations the opportunity to engage with organisations that offer improved efficiencies and cost-effective ways of operating and is deemed vital given the current economic climate.

Visitors to the show’s Emergency Response Zone will see over 30 Category 1 and 2 Responders, partner agencies and voluntary teams showcasing some of their current initiatives. Other highlights include:

PageOne will be demonstrating the MTPAS-enabled 2-way Responder device at the Emergency Scotland 2011 Exhibition and Symposium. The PageOne Responder combines the strengths of paging and GSM/GPRS to deliver a powerful 2-way messaging capability. Fully integrated into PageOne’s web-based messaging applications, or existing command and control systems it is a powerful tool for effective resource and people management.

The Responder device is deal for lone workers in remote locations; GPS supplies the control centre with the last known location of the pager together with a reply message, supplying superior intelligence regarding the location of staff and enabling the more efficient deployment of staff throughout a major incident.

The event has full support of Scottish Resilience, Scottish FBU, Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, Strathclyde Police, Scottish Ambulance Service and the Fire & Rescue Scotland Procurement Team.
